Frustration with Lengthy Interview Process and Hear The Rejection After Follow-ups The interview process stretched out for around 2 months, giving false hope to candidates. Our time is important, and it's disappointing to have it wasted. Just as your company values its time, we expect ours to be respected too. So when you interview just provide the feedback quickly without wasting our time. First Interview with the HR Manager - The interview with the HR manager went well. They explained the job clearly. However, it took them 3 weeks to get back to me after the first interview. They mentioned the hiring manager liked me, but the response time was quite long. Second Interview with the Hiring Managers - Two hiring managers asked me questions, and I answered them very well. Still, it took 1.5 weeks to get a response, even after I followed up multiple times. Third Interview with the Line Managers - I had a conversation with two line managers. While the questions were easy, one of them didn't seem fit for a managerial role. They asked baseless questions. After numerous attempts, I learned I wasn't selected. It would have been better if they informed me sooner. Company Fit - They told me I answered well, but I wasn't a great fit for the company. If getting along with colleagues is prioritized over skills for this role, it's a misstep. Skills should be given more weight. Seeing who they hired for the role on LinkedIn raises doubts about their decision. The selected person lacks relevant education/experience for this role and it's concerning. Doubtful they can handle tasks like streamlining processes or analyzing product data as described in the job. Perhaps the job isn't about fulfilling the job description, even with the title of Product Data Specialist. It might be worth considering a different job title that matches the actual requirements. I won't apply again. The time wasted is truly frustrating. It seems like the managers overseeing the process aren't performing their roles effectively to get the right candidate if they think someone like me with the same experience/skills is not even fitting the role.
