Was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn; she addressed the initial message to someone of a different name. Based on the short description of the position via the message it was a position I was interested in so I applied via their site per her request. We met early the next week, she couldn't answer several of the questions I asked but I moved forward with the next interview. The hiring manager was VERY knowledgeable but the description of the position was most definitely different from what the recruiter had told me. Sent a post interview THANK YOU and never heard next steps and/or a rejection.
