Interview
Overall, a very positive interview process with MathWorks. Stephen might be the best and most responsive hiring manager I have ever met. The entire interview lasted one month. I had the 1st round interview with the hiring manager through a virtual meeting to talk about my past work. And then I had a followed up phone call with HR to discuss salary and other stuff. The next round was talking to another UX manager at a different team. After that, they gave me a week to complete a take-home UX design challenge(I also prepared a deck to present the process and solution). For the final onsite, I did a 30-40mins portfolio presentation and had five 1-1 sessions to talk to different teams. Mathworks did background check and reference check before informing the final offer.
They have a very restrictive salary policy; if you don't reach senior level, then you might receive the same salary as people with fewer years of working experience. And they are not very willing to negotiate salary. In the end, I got a much better offer from a different company so I rejected the offer from Mathworks.

Interview
There were many rounds of interviews with the hiring manager and recruiter.
I had to do a design exercise that's heavily focused on my visual and interaction design skills. Also had to present my design and thought process to the hiring manager. Afterwards, I had to make a 30 minute presentation to a panel of interviewers followed by 1 on 1 interviews with each of the panelists.
Overall positive interview and even though my point of contact was pretty transparent about the process, this many rounds of interviews and having to make two separate presentations was pretty taxing.

Interview
The interview process is very demanding. They also gave a design exercise, did multiple rounds with different members of the team TWICE! However their rejection process was the most disappointing. I was ghosted by them and after a grueling 3 week effort and around 8 rounds of interviews and presentations, putting in work which looked better than their native product, I had to check their system to know that I was rejected, even though they had informed me that they would reach out to me via email. Further they ghosted me for any feedback. It was a complete waste of time and bit unethical.

Interview
Three rounds of interviews: HR round on Hirevue, followed by UX interview that covered portfolio and previous experience related questions. The last round was based on behavioral questions. It was based on my experience at school and work, mostly related to how I deal with situations.
