Applied online and was contacted shortly after for a phone screen interview, and then invited to come into their offices for an interview.
I got there early, and wasn't met by human resources until about 20 minutes after the scheduled time. I was interviewed by 2 people, one of whom was the department manager, the other was an HR rep I imagine. The former didn't do much talking, though they both took notes as I spoke. The HR lady was who asked most of the questions.
The interview felt very impersonal. The HR representative didn't introduce herself. She read questions from the paper monotonously. She had no apparent enthusiasm. As she took notes, she made no effort to look up and make appropriate occasional eye contact, nor did she make any indication that she was even listening. At least to me, interviews should have some back and forth element to them. The interviewer was a terrible conversationalist. At the end when I asked her a few questions, she gave very vague answers, used a lot of "um"s, and gave a completely different vibe, which once again made the interview feel very impersonal and unprofessional.
