Recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn and I sent my resume. Had a Phone Interview six calendar days later. Recruiter confirmed in-person interview two calendar days later that was scheduled for seven calendar days later. In-Person interview was two hours long with four different people. Sent thank-you email to the hiring manager with no response. Sent a follow-up email to the recruiter with no response. Sent a thank-you email to both after receiving an automated "not selected" email and never heard from them again.
During my initial interview with the recruiter, I was asked about a particular technical skill. I confirmed that I had educational experience with the skill, but not working experience. The recruiter said it was not required and could be learned on the job. At the end of first half of my in-person interview, I was told by the hiring manager that it was a requirement and would be the reason why they could be hesitant to move forward with me as a candidate.
