      Paths to Managing Interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Elmhurst, IL) in Jan 2010

      Interview

I initially applied to the position at a job fair and was later contacted via email to set-up a phone interview. This was a very basic behavioral interview which took about 30 minutes. I was asked to walk through my resume but noticed that the interviewer gave awkward pauses (possibly to take notes) between each job description I gave. Afterwords, the interviewer gave me more details about the position and company. I thought the interview ended pretty well but a few days later I received a letter stating I would no longer be considered for the position. No reason was given so I'm not exactly sure what they are looking for in potential employees.
