I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medline Industries (Toledo, OH) in Jul 2019
Interview
Brief phone call with the HR person, pretty standard. Asked about what I do now and why I applied to this job. She was super unorganized though, only responded to emails and phone calls sometimes, and caused me to miss an interview for a position in another city that I wanted. Got an in person interview for a Detroit position that was located in Toledo at some random place because they don't actually have offices. Panel of 3 people interviewing me, very comfortable and went quite smoothly. They like to promote from within though and whoever they hired for this position they wanted to eventually become management and to relocate around the country. Our goals didn't line up. I mentioned that my ultimate goal is to be a surgical sales rep and they said they do not want to lose me in 5+ years to a big surgical company. No offer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Medline Industries
Interview
Went through multi-layered interviews, full product knowledge, and documented years of relationship building. Boilerplate rejection email. "At this time, we are not moving forward in the process as there are other candidates who more closely align with the needs of the team". Medline is still recruiting for the job XX months later. I guess I wasn't young enough.
3-4 rounds of interviews first with recruiter, then direct manager, regional manager and finally the VP. It can be lengthy as they need time to collaborate with one another and it doesn’t seem like a major priority.
Entretien passé dans la cafétéria d’une station essence sur une aire d’autoroute! Peu professionnel et non respect de la confidentialité. Le manager pose des questions discriminantes telles que: âge, situation familiale, âge des enfants.
