Applied online. Heard from recruiter within a week, then went through a series of three in-person interviews lasting an hour each over the course of 4 weeks, resulting in the receipt of a final generic email saying they were pursuing other candidates about 2 weeks after my last interview. There was a large gap between the interviews. I never got a feel for whether or not anyone liked me. No one ever showed me around the office space, which I thought was odd. In my final round I was told that the position was "SO DIFFERENT" (emphasis on purpose) from my resume experience, and I felt right then that I had been wasting my time during the entire process. If I had known that they were simply looking to fill an experience gap, then that is easily done without so many interview rounds.
