I am reviewing an overnight lab assistant position. I was emailed by a recruiter who seemed very professional and friendly. We scheduled a phone interview. I did my research on the history of the hospital and I was asked general questions. The initial phone interview was more of the recruiter telling me about the position. Right after the phone interview, I received an email scheduling me for a second interview with members of the department I was going to be working in. The process was smooth and the interview was done virtually over zoom. The interview was easy and I only have great things to say about the recruiters and the people who work there that I interviewed with. My only concern was the lack of communication after what I thought was a positive interview experience. For some reason there was no communication and subsequently no offer and I was just left wondering what went wrong. It could have been that they saw I was in school and maybe thought I wouldn’t be able to handle the overnight shift? I will never know and at this point don’t care to ask because they didn’t care to tell me I didn’t meet the qualifications for whatever reason. The interview process here was still more positive than NYU.
