I've been contacted for a Department head position by a head hunter. The company interested to my professional profile invited me for an interview on-site after 3 months from the first telephonic discussion with the head hunter. The interview went well and after one month the company requested me to go for another round of interview to meet other key stakeholders (including the business unit director recently hired). Obviously the travels expenses were not reimbursed from the company (i live 700km from the site). After additional 3 months the head hunter contacted me saying that they hired another candidate with a more extended management experience (In my opinion they hired someone cheaper and older than me rather than more qualified).
