Merkle Graduate PPC Account Manager interview questions

I found the interview process challenging but fairly straightforward. I applied online direct to Periscopix and was invited to an interview day that week but couldn't make it so had to attend the next assessment day. The assessment day format was a 5 minute presentation where they just want to get to know you as a person, followed by a PPC question and a group exercise. After that there was a short interview with an account manager and recruitment manager where they just wanted to know more about your reasons for choosing a career in PPC. I then received a brief to put together a PPC strategy for a business and had about a week to prepare. I gave the presentation to 2 account managers which was then followed by some quite difficult PPC questions and also finding out a bit more about you personally. I was offered the job and started the following month.

The process was split into the following: 1. Phone Interview 2. Assessment centre 3. Interview My overall feedback is that the process felt...cold. I felt like with the presentation at the 'Interview' stage, which was actually the assessment centre, the interviewers couldn't really get to know you as they didn't interact with you - something I think is poorly thought out, considering they seek to hire decent people. Although, the office and people I did meet were very friendly.
