Application
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Merkle (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
I only had a brief call (phone screen) that wasn't going anywhere so we jointly decided it wasn't a fit. The questions were less about account management, strategy and client relations and more focused on whether or not I could write a creative brief and have done mail campaigns.

Question 1
Q: Would you consider writing briefs to be one of your strengths? Are you familiar with campaigns?
Interviews are virtual. Interviewee is required to have their camera on, while the interviewers do not. This is the equivalent of sitting in an empty room with voices being projected over a loudspeaker. It's not only odd and uncomfortable, it's completely disrespectful of the interviewee. The interview time was also scheduled while the interviewer was traveling and it was cut short because they were catching a flight.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Merkle (New York, NY) in Sep 2021
Interview
Lengthy process with multiple team members, allowing for an adequate evaluation of who you would be working with. Presentation required. Only negative feedback would be on the interviewer not having their camera on during the presentation. In this new virtual interviewing process, it was a little off-putting that their camera was not on and so I felt like I wasn't presenting to a person.

Interview
Two interviews with the first one being more informal and the second one was with two client directors. The second interview was more a presentation on past campaigns that I ran and how I can be a fit for the role. Th e interview did last for one hour .
