I applied online. I interviewed at Meso Scale Diagnostics (Gaithersburg, MD) in Sep 2015
Interview
Applied online. Had a first phone standard HR interview followed by one of the hiring managers (technical) phone interview. Then was called for onsite interview. They took care of flight tickets, hotel and car service from airport.
Full day of interview starting with a scientific presentation. Followed by one on one with many people including lunch with one person. Overall it was an OK experience.
The most worrisome part: They advertise for a Scientist position and the feeling I got was, it was a technician interview. They dont care much about your science. They ask you about techniques you have listed in your CV and ask to explain them. They really grill you on Stats. If you are not strong in statistics, do not waste your time interviewing. Personally I found it silly but hey... its their company.
Another strange observation: The whole place had an eerie silence and no smiles on anyone's face. People looked really stressed.
After the interview: Sent bills for reimbursement which was swiftly taken care of. Other than that, no communication. They did not have the courtesy to let me know yes or no. So I just assumed they are not offering the job after a month of e mails. In hindsight, I am happy that I did not get the job offer.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do your skills align with the currently offered role?
The interview process is in depth at MSD, with initial recruiter conversations, manager conversations, a 1 hour presentation and 1 on 1 interviews as well. The turnaround time is relatively fast for each of these steps and clear communication was maintained throughout.

Question 1
What kind of working environment do you best work in?
Initial 30 minutes interview over phone followed by presentation and one-on-one meeting with four scientists. Completely ghosted after that with no communication whatsoever from their side and zero response to my emails.
