I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Metapack
Interview
Applied online and had a 40 minute hr screening with the recruiter. He then set-up for me a call with the hiring manager's boss, I researched and prepared only to find out that the person who called me in the end was a senior sales person , regardless the call went very well.
Then they invited me for a final interview where I was told I will meet the hiring manager and his boss. Their instructions were that the first one hour will be interview on my skills, then I should make a presentation.
When I arrived, the hiring manager's boss wasn't there so i met the same guy I spoke to on the phone, he immediately told me to ask him questions, even though I have done it already in the previous stage. Then he told me to do the presentation although it wasn't clear if it should be done formally or informally, and anyway it should have been as well with his manager.
Then I finally got to meet the top manager for the final half-hour, he clearly didn't read my CV prior to the interview and struggle to pronounce the names of the companies I worked for even though that many of them are well know in the industry. He kept asking me questions about one my previous roles because he didn't know what the company does (Despite it being a publicly listed company) and then the most typical questions - it was clear he wasn't interested in me as he couldn't find the time originally to do the phone call and then to join the final interview from the beginning.
To top it up, I heard nothing back from Metapack until I chased them, and 3 weeks after the final interview they bothered coming back to me saying that the hiring manager think I wasn't experienced enough (even though his colleague told me the exact opposite in the final interview and in the phone call) - which is very strange as if I wasn't experienced enough, why did I get all these interviews in the first place?!
