I applied online. I interviewed at Method in Aug 2022
Interview
I began communicating with them in the first week of August. I had a screening chat with the recruiter. They genuinely had so many opportunities for the post I applied for, but the recruiter claimed we don't have any, so I was like, why are you speaking with me today, and do you not see your own career page? I said at the conclusion of the call that I have a buddy who works there and they enjoy it. The recruiter then chatted animatedly for the remainder of the conversation. As a result of that remark, I met with the lead for a portfolio review at the end of August. I had a great conversation with him and he shared an extremely and totally unnecessary lengthy process, not sure who they're trying to be till they make it as a company. Later, the recruiter then thanked me for checking in with her and claimed they were in the process of portfolio checks and had completely ghosted me. I thought we are in 2022 and ghosting is a thing of the past and people had the common courtesy to at least send a rejection email.
The moral of the story is if you really really want to work there find someone who works there to say you have a friend
Pretty streamlined, usually just a few rounds - eventually with a small presentation on past work and learnings. Excellent caliber of product folks to work with, and friendly on the interview.
