I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MicroStrategy (Tysons Corner, VA) in Oct 2018
Interview
Applied through campus career portal. Online did 4 rounds of assessment, 1 on math, 1 on grammar, 1 on statistical visualization, and 1 hacker-rank. All pretty easy. Then got called to interview on-campus. Asked some behavorial question regarding how you deal with technical projects and passions in technology. Then there was a coding problem. The interviewer didn't make much eye contact, kept looking at his watch, rushed the entire thing. Gave me 5 minutes to come up with my own algorithm, before forcing me to understand and implement his.
What's one project you worked on, did you have to improvise, how do you manage multi-tasking, what do you do if you find a simple error in your coding, how do you keep up with new technology.
It went well however im not selected. Company was good my skill was bad may be gave java developer interview but was rejected in 1st round . Ambience was so good and lot of happy faces around
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MicroStrategy (College Park, MD) in Dec 2024
Interview
HR interview -
The main point was to discuss some logistical stuff regarding the entire interview process. After this HR interview, there will be a 1 hr technical interview with an existing SWE at MicroStrategy. If successful, you will be invited to another technical + cultural fit interview with a manager/director. And the offer will be made based on that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was your favorite project that you worked on?
One goo thing was that it was timely. They sent a series of technical coding tests and data science tests. There was quite a few statistics questions that are good to brush up on.
