I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Micron Technology (Boise, ID) in Mar 2009
Interview
initial inverview on university campus (career fair) resulted in a follow up, on-site interview at Micron. The interview was a full day. The morning was all one on one interviews, one with HR employee and the others with engineers and managers that I would work with. Each interview lasted about 1/2 hr to an hour and there were about 5 of them. Most of them were not too technical as they knew I had no specific experience to the position I would apply for, but they asked technical questions about previous projects or research I had done in school or internship. When I thought I would get a short break at lunch, they asked me more questions while I was eating! That was really the only part of the interview that I did not like. The afternoon was more interviewing similar to those in the morning, probably 4 more interviews. I recieved an offer by phone after I had returned home (out of state).
The company is all about automation. You need to be well verse in technical background. Ypu really need to think out of the box if u really want to stay in the company for long. You can expect a lot of technical questions to be asked.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Micron Technology
Interview
The interview is very sudden, not sure whether it is because of the covid, it was done through phone call. I only talk to the direct manager and he asked me about my expected salary, which I thought should be HR's job
Mass recruitment. Fast interview process. Able to know the result on th at day. Casual interview. Ask about yo ur Strength and Weakness ... Some technical question s
