I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Tel Aviv-Yafo)
Interview
1. HR phone call
Then I had 3 interviews, including coding, system design and some behavioral questions
HR called to say that I've passed and scheduled a AA interview with a manager.
THAT WAS THE WORST INTERVIEW EVER!
The interviewer behaved very unprofessionally – he even had his feet on the chair or on the sofa, the manner was extremely disrespectful.
He asked me to implement a timer without using a built-in timer, which was a strange and confusing question, especially after I had already passed the LeetCode-style and System Design parts of the interview.
The level of the question was unusual; he expected me to figure out that I could use a now() function across different departments to implement the timer. It was something I had never encountered before.
Overall, it was a very unusual and uncomfortable interview experience.

Interview
After submitting an online application, I received a HackerRank assessment after passing the resume screening stage, then I was rejected after completing the assessment and did not proceed to further interview rounds.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The assessment consisted of two LeetCode-medium-level coding questions to be completed within 75 minutes.
45 mins technical interview with a member of their San fran team. Very relaxed and informal but questions were focused and lots of follow ups. Easy to schedule as was over video conferencing platform
Straightforward technical loop overall, with strong interviewers at every stage. I genuinely enjoyed the in-depth conversations around technical challenges and algorithmic problem-solving — the entire process felt well-structured and genuinely engaging.
