I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Milwaukee Tool in Apr 2021
Interview
Phone screen, then three separate interviews with two individuals from the engineering orgnaization in each.
Generally behavioral and cultural, a few technical background questions
You may be placed with a confrontational, aggressive Principal Engineer - I wasn't expecting this, but the individual made a false accusation about my past work history, generally had a dogmatic attitude about requirements and specs as used in a past industry, and quickly became a red flag to proceeding with this company/org -particularly concerning as a higher level manager was also on this session, and appeared OK with the behavior. Other subsequent interviewers
were pleasant and congenial, but I'd recommend coming prepared for a possibly confrontational session...

Typical behavioral style questions, but expect to be asked about your experience with the firmware development process.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Milwaukee Tool (Milwaukee, WI) in Apr 2021
Interview
Was approached by a recruiter. Initially things went well, until I started talking directly to Milwaukee. Scheduled an interview after a couple phone calls. I was never provided info for a specific role I would be interviewing for, so I started the process at a disadvantage.
The interview was 4 hours of non-stop questions via Microsoft Teams, which was way too long. Lots of behavioral questions, and not a whole lot of discussion of past work experience. Interviewed with four groups of people from various depts, and some seemed like they would rather be doing anything else other than interviewing. Not a lot of time provided for questions.
Beyond this communication was pretty poor, was told to call or email with questions which I did, but no one followed up. They sent a job req a week later out of the blue, and told me to apply so they could work up an offer. The role attached wasn't relevant to anything discussed, or my background at all.
Ended up with an entry-level offer, far below expectations and only two days to consider - there wasn't much to consider. Salary ranges and expectations were discussed multiple times before the interview; they could have saved us all a lot of time and effort at the beginning. No one from Milwaukee or the recruiter made an attempt to reach out to me after I declined the offer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Milwaukee Tool (Brookfield, WI) in Oct 2020
Interview
I applied online through the portal and a Recruiter reached to me. The first call was fine, standard HR type behavioural questions. After two weeks a conference call with the Engineering team was set up. It was four sessions of one hour each with a break in between. The Engineering Manager, NPD Director, Senior Engineer and Product engineers spoke with me. The first session with the Manager was more behavioural type and he asked situational type questions to get to know me better. The second, third and fourth calls were all technical. Each of them tried to ask deep technical questions based on my resume and probe my understanding of concepts.
