I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Momentum Solar (Remote) in Dec 2022
Interview
I was reached out by an overly enthusiastic hiring recruiter that worked directly for the company. Handled himself well and setup second/third interviews with hiring manager. The second interview was about the style of the job and expectations and would not touch upon salary/commission or any of those details. The third interview was solely about the compensation package and offering of the job. The hiring manager was the complete opposite of the recruiter. Dry, cold, and well fit for a sales manager if you can handle that personality and don't have emotions. He basically just throws a power point up and reads it out loud to you in both meetings.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's your closing %? How much do you think you would be able to close? What experience do you have in self generating leads? cold calling? door knocking? ect All just number based questions about how much you can potentially generate in revenue/contracts. 2nd Interview he brings up a chart and says "If your % is at XX, then how much extra would you be making on systems?
The interview for the Sales Representative position was engaging, professional, and highly encouraging. From the beginning, Martha created a welcoming atmosphere that made the conversation feel comfortable while still maintaining a strong focus on the role and expectations. She asked thoughtful questions about sales experience, relationship-building, handling objections, and meeting performance goals. What stood out most was her genuine interest in understanding both professional skills and personality fit. Rather than making the interview feel one-sided, Martha encouraged open discussion about career goals, motivation, and long-term growth opportunities within the company. Martha demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills throughout the interview. She clearly explained the company culture, sales process, and what success looks like in the position. Her enthusiasm for the team and organization was contagious and made the opportunity even more appealing.
