This was my second attempt at pursuing a job at MongoDB. Friends and former colleagues have only said good things about the company and its culture. Not to mention, the product itself is one of the top NoSQL databases out there. So, I decided to give MongoDB another shot, despite having a pretty negative experience the first time around-- which ended with an automated rejection deep into the process (over a month long).
In early April, I met with the recruiter. From what I gathered, my experience and the job expectations seemed to be a great fit for both parties. The recruiter mentioned she'd circle back with next steps. That was the last I heard from her. I followed up 2-3 times, as I was excited to move forward in the process, but I never got a response. Almost two months later, I received yet another automated rejection letter.
So, after 2 out of 2 poorly managed interview experiences, it's safe to say this will be my final attempt with MongoDB
