First, following a voicemail to be scheduled for a phone interview, I had to contact the HR Coordinator three times over the course of 5 days, before finally being scheduled.
The interview with the recruiter didn't go much better. Her first question was "What questions do you have for me?" I believe this is a closing question not an opening one. This was before saying anything about the company or role. I had applied for the HR Business Partner position, but she had me targeted for the HR Manager position. We were 5 minutes into the interview, before I was even aware of this, so all of my prep and taking points were off target. A typical phone interview should have included her informing me I am interviewing for a different role and explaining that to me before jumping into the interview. I was disappointed in the process and their professionalism.
