I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Aventura, FL) in Mar 2013
Interview
Interview process begins with online submission, and a test to gauge your aptitude for passing the series 7 and 66 exams. Business Dev Manager will call for phone interview, and have you fill out a worksheet that will describe your network, and how you intend on building your book of business. This will be the determining factor of whether you get the in person interview.
In person is fairly easy, as you go through your network of contacts and discuss your approach strategy. If you get along well with the manager a personalities mesh well, you will most likely get the offer. As with most sales based positions, its more about your personality and network than past experience, although past sales experience will help, especially if its high volume or high net worth clientele.

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
The overall interview process is not extremely difficult. Meeting with the a manager and maybe another senior advisor whom is involved with the hiring process. Detailed business plan to prepare. More on showing them how you can succeed at the job. It would probably be two to three interviews before actual consideration.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley in Mar 2024
Interview
Starts off with a 30 min aptitude test followed by a 1-2 hour simulation of being an advisor in LA. This is followed by a 30 min hireview and 3 more tests if selected to move forward. At the end of the hireview you receive an email saying someone will be in touch and nobody contacted me. Had to check my status of the application through the applicant portal to find out I was no longer under consideration. Nothing out of the ordinary in the process except for the fact that I didn't get to speak to a single person throughout it and that is not very professional in my opinion.

mental math aptitude, picture matching, personality tests
Inept as inept can be. Couldn’t describe the job responsibilities effectively. It felt scummy the whole entire process. I would avoid at all costs. Heard bad things about this place.
