I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Portland, OR) in Sep 2016
Interview
I contacted the local branch manager multiple times and never got a response. So one day, while is was in the area, i walked in as a potential client and spoke to the Assistant Branch Manager. In the end, i revealed that i was looking for an internship. The Assistant Branch Manager referred me to the Branch Manager and asked my to email him directly. I emailed the Branch manager and got an interview within the week. Very down to earth and stressful. Grabbed a cup of coffee and discussed the position and myself.

Why do you think this position is for you and why with Morgan Stanley?
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
The overall interview process is not extremely difficult. Meeting with the a manager and maybe another senior advisor whom is involved with the hiring process. Detailed business plan to prepare. More on showing them how you can succeed at the job. It would probably be two to three interviews before actual consideration.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley in Mar 2024
Interview
Starts off with a 30 min aptitude test followed by a 1-2 hour simulation of being an advisor in LA. This is followed by a 30 min hireview and 3 more tests if selected to move forward. At the end of the hireview you receive an email saying someone will be in touch and nobody contacted me. Had to check my status of the application through the applicant portal to find out I was no longer under consideration. Nothing out of the ordinary in the process except for the fact that I didn't get to speak to a single person throughout it and that is not very professional in my opinion.

Question 1
mental math aptitude, picture matching, personality tests
Inept as inept can be. Couldn’t describe the job responsibilities effectively. It felt scummy the whole entire process. I would avoid at all costs. Heard bad things about this place.
