I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Sep 2010
Interview
The phone interview lasted for around 30 minutes. The interviewer is an HR Coordinator. He first started with my resume, and general questions like "why do you choose Morgan Stanley", and then went through my resume. Followed is 3 math problems, which I totally messed up.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Montreal, QC) in Jan 2023
Interview
Worst interview process ever. HRs were incredible unresponsive. Took a few months after finishing OA to get a phone screen interview. And then HRs ghosted for a month after me following up with them twice before sending Superday interview invite.
Finished Superday and HRs proceeded to ghost despite me asking for updates twice. At the end, they sent me a generic rejection email. Very bad hiring practice and very disrespectful towards candidates' time.
If this is how they treat candidates at the beginning stage, imagine how worse it would be when you actually work there. I would blacklist Morgan Stanley from now on.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley in Oct 2010
Interview
Phone interview after applying online. Several general knowledge finance questions such as;
- What is Morgan Stanley's share price?
- What is the current value of the Dow Jones Industrial Index?
Then a couple probability and financial math questions and finished up with a Markov chain question
All up took about 30 minutes.
