Phone call with an analyst. Talked about technicals, basic LBO, and Merger models, but nothing too bad at all. Just a screening round, and got pressed on the questions at an easy difficulty.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Oct 2021
Interview
Met with 2 vp's for one on one interviews. Then a group exercise with about 15 peers. They had us design a better public transportation system and gave us a time limit. Towards the end, they threw a curveball and had us combine teams instead of compete. We had to quickly figure that out and decide who would present.
I had a zoom interview with an analyst after the initial hirevue. The Hirevue interview was mostly about behavioural questions (one of them asked about the trend in the financial market). For the position, you should be fluent in both English and Korean.

Question 1
What is difference between PE ration and EV/EBITDA and when would you use each ratio?
3 tests with immediate results followed by further interviews. Tests were easy, numerical, logical and situational. Havent yet progressed any further through the process, awaiting response, will update once next stage is known.
