Interview
i got really lucky and i was accepted after a simple phone interview. I even mentioned that i don't know some of the material, but we both agreed that I would learn what I did not know. My case was pretty different though; i more or less obtained the position through networking.

Applied via online application. Received a phone call two months later and proceeded to have a phone technical interview that lasted around an hour. The interview was mostly centered around my resume experience and coursework that pertained to the specific internship. The mentors choose their mentee from a pool, you do not apply for a specific position.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Mar 2023
Interview
Interview asked about projects on my resume. The mentor also talked about the specific project to be worked on. Low stress casual conversation just about what is on the resume. No real technical questions.
I had a series of interviews and chats that were all very human centered, and they did not feel like a bulk process. I was able to learn a lot about my potential duties and have any questions answered.
