I first got a call from the West Coast office for the initial screening and then got another screening call from the Department I would be interviewing for. As everyone knows, the first step of the interview process at NBC is a video interview, I was not given a chance to give a video interview. On the call, he asked me about my availability for fall and I told him that I would be available part-time (i.e 20 hours per week) as I am an international student. After all this, he called me in for an interview. The interview lasted for almost 2 and a half hours, in which the I spoke to the interviewer and his Boss. His boss explained to me that this position would require some analytical skills and I had some background in that. After this, he connected me with his intern and made me talk to her as well. I gave her a call too, and she mentioned that she had no excel skills and learned it at the job. I was amazed because I was told that this position would require good analytical skills. But then she also interned at Paramount before, so that explains why they hired her. After all this, I got an email from him saying that he would LOVE to share an update with me and he called me to give a rejection and mentioned that they cannot offer me the position as I cannot work full time. After all this BS, my only question was if you knew I cannot work full time in Fall and I mentioned that to you over the phone why did you call me in to waste your time and mine? I took a day off just to interview there. Just because you are part of a Big Company does not give you a right to treat your candidates in this way. This was my WORST EXPERIENCE Ever !!
