Interviewed for several teams as a contractor. It was different than any other interviews I've ever had in tech. Instead of the typical coding problems and system design questions, the interview only consisted of asking very specific questions about various web technologies that the role relied on. In my opinion, this interview style is absolutely terrible. Good engineers don't memorize arbitrary interview trick questions. They solve problems through implementing solutions. Random details matter far less than understanding how to approach a problem and find an efficient and optimal solution. Also, their salary range was very low relative to other companies I was interviewing with. I completed final rounds but then I accepted an offer with another company. When I informed them of the offer I received, they just never responded to me. Really weird interview process overall. I wouldn't have accepted an offer with them after my experience anyways, even though they have a strong brand name.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked me about various web technologies that they were using for full-stack development and devops (JS frameworks, cloud stuff, etc). Very specific which I thought was unnecessary. Look up trick questions and details of various technologies to prepare (even though this is a waste of time on the job)
