NPR Finance interview questions

Initial communications through resume and cover letter. Contacted by recruiter who reviewed work and work relevance to position. Recruiter indicated that she was pleased with background, experience, telephone interview, and set up telephone interview with VP finance for the following day. Canceled meeting via email with no reason cited. I suspect foul play in this matter. This was nasty treatment from a highly visable company needing public support and goodwill to succeed. I would like to see boycott of NPR offerings--however realize that this is a single case. If many posts like this take place, suggest that boycott be invoked.
