Interview Process:
Three rounds total, all virtual. First round with the hiring manager focused on infrastructure and data center concepts. Then two separate 45 minute interviews with solutions architects on the team.
Interview Questions:
Tell me about yourself
Walk me through your resume
Tell me about a time you faced a difficult technical problem
Tell me about a time you worked under pressure
Conceptual networking questions — Ethernet, TCP/UDP, OSI model, troubleshooting scenarios
Linux commands and general infrastructure knowledge
Tips:
All interviews were conversational, no coding at all
Know your resume inside out — they will go deep on everything you put on there
Brush up on Ethernet networking specifically
Be honest if you don't know something — one interviewer told me a topic was advanced and learned on the job
Treat it like a conversation not an exam
Overall:
Didn't get the offer. Honestly pretty disappointed — I put a lot into preparing for this and was really hoping it would work out. That said the process was smooth, the team seemed genuinely nice, and the recruiters were helpful throughout. Would apply again next cycle.
