I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Santa Clara, CA) in Jan 2012
Interview
Applied at Univ. job fair and reached by a recruiter half a month later. Then began an interview process for 4 months---you are not reading wrong, 4 months. After three rounds of phone interviews, I waited for 1 month and then was called for an on-site to Santa Clara. The on-site consisted of interviews with 5-6 members in the team so was quite exhaustive, imagine keeping thinking, writing, answering questions for 5-6 hours even during your lunch time. In general, can't say it's a pleasant experience.
