I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at National Park Service in Feb 2023
Interview
Applied on USA Jobs, after a series of qualification emails from USA job over three months I got an interest check to set up a phone interview. Phone interview lasted around 30 minutes, everyone was very pleasant!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle large crowds? How have you dealt with disagreement with a coworker?
Really nice interview experience. The interviewer began by explaining details about the position as it functions at the specific park units I was interviewing for, and a little about the location/park layout. Most of the questions were basic customer service questions, a couple of general questions about the work experiences from my resume that were relevant to this job, and then a couple about my interest in and knowledge about these specific parks. The interviewer then let me ask any questions I had, and we briefly talked about housing and the culture/pros and cons of the unique location.
The preliminary email said the process would take 20-30 minutes; I believe we did finish with the interview qs right at 20 minutes and my follow-up questions and chatting took another 10.
The interviewer was very nice, attentive, and encouraging! I did not take this job but I hope to either apply again next year or visit this park in the near future.

What do you know about [general location of park]?
I applied online. I interviewed at National Park Service in Jan 2023
Interview
Applied in the end of October, contacted & interviewed in January. The interview was short and very informative. The interaction was professional and with a very friendly supervisor who described the layout of the park and the way the entire fees operation works there. There was a lot of conversation about work and living situation, and I was only asked two questions (listed both down below).
