Spoke initially with HR to ensure I had the proper retail experience and skills needed. This took maybe 30 minutes total; he informed me of the general work day and what the team would do to attempt to build relationships (team happy hour, birthday celebrations, dip day on Fridays, etc.) Then the formal interview with my would be manager; within a week I had an offer. I went in and received a tour around the work area and was able to ask questions. I met some of the other associates and managers involved. They told me after the formal interview the compensation offered. I was unable to negotiate.
