I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Network Rail (London, England) in May 2023
Interview
I was contacted by text message/whatsapp from an employee in the team to schedule an interview. This seemed a bit strange and unprofessional as I had no contact with a recruiter at all throughout the recruitment process. Anyhow, the interview turned out to be led by two nasty bullies who took pleasure in trying to ridicule and laugh at anything I had to say. At many times throughout the interview I was cut off and ridiculed. This erratic behaviour began after being asked where I was from and I presume they didn't like the answer. The joke is on them as I have since received numerous offers for better positions with much higher salaries - all with extremely positive interview feedback. These two individuals are a shameful representation of Network Rail. I suggest that they get briefed on how to conduct themselves in an interview setting and learn how to talk to people with respect. I had no way to make a complaint as I could not find a direct HR contact number! Therefore, I have decided to document my experience here for all to see. P. S. I would suggest allowing more than 30 minutes to carry out an interview and a properly performing sound system. With that being said, for this particular interview 1 minute would have been sufficient.

Interview
Very relaxed interview felt easy to be myself and talk about other industry items outside of the job. Questions are good to find out what kind of person you are and even higher to myself somthings I could improve on
