I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New Balance (Sunset Hills, MO) in Dec 2014
Interview
I was contacted about this position via recruiter and was told it was a contract with a likelihood of conversion to full-time employee. I had two face-to-face interviews: the first with the development team, the second with the hiring manager and team leads. The talk was candid and it seemed like expectations were being set pretty well. After the second interview I was contacted almost immediately with a job offer. I felt a little bit pressured to make a decision, but the time of year and their project needs were driving that and I understand.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New Balance (Chennai) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process consisted of three rounds. The first round was an online coding test with basic data structures and problem-solving questions. The second round was a technical interview focusing on Java, SQL, and system design fundamentals. The final round was an HR interview where they discussed my background, projects, and career goals.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New Balance in Jan 2023
Interview
The job listing was clearly for fully remote. There were 3 x 30 minute technical interviews via Teams. Interviews focused more on personality and working style than on technical minutia. Interviewing managers were very friendly and personable. Confirmed that position was fully remote as team is spread out globally. I was given a verbal offer at the end of process with documents to follow. Several days later, the offer was withdrawn and changed to hybrid only. I was offered relocation assistance instead. The hiring rep then did not show up for our scheduled call, stopped returning emails, and just ghosted me.

Interview
Interviewer sounded flabbergasted when I told him my expected salary which was very fair for the area (Boston) and given the amount of workload and responsibilities you were expected to take on.
