      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (New York, NY) in Nov 2017

      Interview

I interviewed with the manager and director of the specific department. They were both welcoming and friendly. They called me back a few days later stating that they wanted to set me up with an interview with HR. I know usually is the other way around where you met with HR first then the department. However HR has yet to get back to me. I understand they are busy but it is very unprofessional and not fair on the candidate side. I know most hospitals do this protocol but again is not fair that HR has all the saying, especially when you are not even going to work with them. Why do you even have to interview with them if you already interviewed with the department and they want to hire you. It’s horrible the way the system works. I’m tired of people relying on HR for everything, when 9/10 times once hired you’ll never see or speak to HR again.
