I was recruited by the company and they told me I could either work in SF or San Rafael. I interviewed in San Rafael. I had to rent a zip car and the cost was $60 which a lot of money when you are looking for a job. When I entered their office there were a bunch were a number of employees in the kitchen talking not one person acknowledged me. Finally a woman asked me why I was there and told her I was there for an interview. She asked me where I lived (which I thought was strange since I just walked in the door) and I said San Francisco and she stated "That may be a problem." Nice thing to say to someone coming in for an interview. She put me in the conference room and I had to wait at least 20-30 minutes. They asked me HR questions, nothing out of the ordinary. Then two more people came in and I answered the same questions. I know when I do well in an interview and I thought it went well. They told me I could work out of the SF office. After I left I never heard from them again. Not an email telling me I did not get the job, nothing. Which of course being a recruiter which is part of HR is totally unacceptable. I was so upset. I wasted $60 and (Which they knew) and not even a courtesy email. I emailed the recruiter. No response. Obviously I did not get the job and I am relieved I didn't. The moment the woman asked me where I lived and that might be a problem I thought this is not a company I want to work for. The people who I met with were very nice and I have nothing negative to say about them except they obviously do not know how to treat employees who are coming in for an interview.
