I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Noom (New York, NY) in Sep 2019
Interview
Was asked about why Noom, background, and a standard A/B testing thought process question.
Throughout the time, was receiving good signals from the recruiter “that’s super in-depth, etc...” I articulated my career story and some of the things I was working on as stated on my LinkedIn and resume, and just got a rejection email saying they were looking for someone closer to the job fit.
Fine by me, but why bother to reach out? There were no surprises from my application vs. my phone screen.
Overall- recruiter was nice, company seems promising, but felt that my time was wasted on poor sourcing practice.
Kind employees, recruiter offered to give feedback on the phone
Multiple conversations across the team to determine fit on both sides, which was helpful as a candidate to feel comfortable

Question 1
Long term vision for the industry and where Noom fits in
Went through many rounds of interviews with the team, including live product design and strategy case studies.
It ultimately wasn’t a fit, but the recruiting team was amazing throughout the process, and had the decency to follow-up with feedback and a conversation at the end of the process. This is how people should be treated!

Question 1
How would you improve the Recipe app? Walk through metrics, experiments launched, how you would assess where to begin
I applied online. I interviewed at Noom in May 2025
Interview
Many steps. 1) Recruiter screen 2) Hiring manager call 3) Live product case 4) XF team interviews 5) Additional interview with hiring manager and 6) Meeting with CPO
The recruiter was knowledgeable and pleasant. However, my experience with the hiring manager raised red flags about the team culture, and I did not proceed further.
