I applied for a job online and received an email a few hours later to schedule a phone interview. A few days later I was called by an HR manager from Nordstrom and was asked about 5 questions. They were pretty easy, very straight forward. One of the questions was "Why do you want to work at Nordstrom?". The woman on the phone was super friendly and tried to make me feel more comfortable. I get really nervous when I interview and she was super nice. After I answered all the questions she said she wanted to schedule a second in person interview at Nordstrom. I went to the in person interview 2 days ago. When you are brought in your greeted by a person in HR and then are seated in a waiting area with other people interviewing. When it is was my turn to interview I was called back and brought into a room with about 6 managers from different departments and seated at one of the table. I was asked about 10 questions, a lot had to do with times when you had to do something. Nothing was too hard to answer, if you don't have prior retail experience it may be a little harder, but they let you use anything it doesn't have to be related to retail sales. When I was done I was told I would be called within the next few days. I was called today by the department manager of the area I applied for and she did a phone interview with me, she asked me 4 questions all basic, but I was unprepared so I was a little more nervous, but she was really nice. I was told I would be called within two days to talk about the process moving forward. I hope I got the job. One tip I would say is to wear something from Nordstrom when you go for a in person interview. They notice right away, I got a lot of compliments from managers and it also shows that you know the brand and shop there as well.
