I first applied for a sales associate position in kid's shoes online. That same day I received an email requesting a phone interview the next day. The phone interview was pretty relaxed and took all of 5 minutes. The HR representative I spoke with was super sweet and informative. She asked me basic questions like how I felt about working on commission. At the end of the interview she asked me to come to a 1:1 in person interview.
I came early and was interviewed on time. This interview was with the same representative and her questions were basically an extension of the ones from the phone interview (ie: are you a competitive person?, what would you do to drive sales?) . Next she asked if I could do my interview with the department manager that same day and I agreed to.
The department manager was also very nice and had a great personality. Her interview consisted of customer service oriented questions as well as walking the sales floor and stock room. At the end of the interview she asked me to try to sell a shoe to her. All together it was pretty simple and I think i did a good job. The department manager told me when training would start and said she would let me know within the next few days whether I got the position or not, wish me luck!
