I have a connection through my advisor and was able to get an informal interview set up very quickly. They were incredibly helpful and excited about the company, and a recruiter followed up with me immediately to make sure I didn't have any additional questions.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Redondo Beach, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Was called in for an interview for on-campus interview with group manager, who asked about my background and experiences. Some behavioral questions about how I work in a team, difficulties, etc.
Followed by a surprised phone interview from direct manager and co-manager. Asked about my resume and some conceptual technical. Asked me to see if I knew my material from courses and how I my approach to solving problems from my previous internships.
Was contacted by HR a week afterwards saying I will be getting the job offer! Official written letter was emailed another week later after they did their marketing research.

Interview
Received a call from the recruiter about 2 weeks after applying wanting to schedule a panel phone interview. Heard back about a week later asking to set up an in person interview in CA. A week later I received an offer.
