Overall good people, BUT TERRIBLE HR process. This review summarizes 2 interviews I had with NGC.
+ The first interview was in 3 stages:
1. HR Screen
2. Panel Interview
3. Hiring Manager Interview + Portfolio Review
The interview had classic interview questions ("tell me about a time where you improved something", "leadership style, etc.").
Overall positive, but didn't receive an offer. The team was really nice / hiring manager was respectful. However, I felt HR really affected my hiring. During my third interview, the hiring manager asked if I had my portfolio. I wasn't aware that I needed to create/present one.
So the interview lasted only 15 min. HR called minutes afterwards to apologize that they forgot to tell me. I quickly created a portfolio, sent to the HR rep and asked for send receipt to confirm they received it and shared with the hiring team. No replies and received a rejection the next day.
+ The second interview was in 2 stages:
1. HR Screen
2. Panel Interview w/ Hiring Manager
The interview went great. Still got a rejection. I actually had a friend who worked on the same team.
It was disheartening to find out I got rejected because the team wanted an internal employee, but interviewed external people (like myself and others) just for courtesy.
Because of these 2 terrible interview experiences, I don't plan to continue applying to this company. Truly terrible...
