Northwestern Mutual Associate Software Engineer interview questions

I participated in Northwestern's first digital job fair (fully remote due to Covid) and while it was a little disorganized due to everyone trying to figure out the technology, it was a pleasant experience. The process started a couple weeks before the fair, with a brief code challenge. From there, I had a phone interview with a recruiter, which led into prep for the fair itself. I was given more than enough information about what was expected of me throughout the process, which was nice. I got the feeling that once I had gotten past the initial technical challenge, they weren't actually that interested in my ability, and were more interested in my work habits and my ability to fit into their culture. Ultimately, I did not get the job. However, I feel like I was treated fairly, which... well, I cannot say that about every company for which I interviewed.

You will be contacted by a recruiter, followed up with a phone screening with that recruiter to discuss the details of you and the job. A coding assessment will then be issued, 3 questions 60 minutes. Hopefully you talk to the hiring manager next.
