I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Grand Junction, CO)
Interview
The interview process was an overall positive experience, however, there were a few strange things that put me off. I was initially contacted by a member of the Grand Junction team who hadn't looked past my phone number on my resume and had to ask me where I applied and what I applied for. I was then set up with an interview with a regional internship director. She was very kind but sort of snaked around how pay and commission would work. I got the sense that the position was less about building experience and more about cold calling friends and family to expand the books of an already registered agent. i.e., the job was commission-based based but there was no way for me actually to make a commission. Everyone was kind and positive, but the position seemed like a glorified call center.

Interview
Was told about the program and how I would need to get certified to sell life insurance in order to participate in the program. The interviewer was laid back and relaxed. It was a group interview.

Interview
Very basic and straightforward behavioral questions, nothing technical. Have a good idea of what you would be doing and why you want to work there so that you can speak to your skillset and how it aligns with the job description.
