I contacted the department I wanted to work for. I had one interview, and then 2 weeks later was called to come in for second interview. I came to interview and was surprised to be taken into a conference room where I interviewed with 5 men simultaneously. One month later I did receive an offer, but I did not accept the offer because salary was 33% less than what I ended up taking in private sector. I felt they were trying to take advantage of me. I saw the office where I would have been working and it was crowded with many desks crammed together in a large room.
