I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nucor in Mar 2024
Interview
One Phone call interview, one video recorded interview, and one panel interview, all fairly easy regarding the questions, just be yourself and you'll do great. Overall, one of the better interview experiences I have had.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Nucor
Interview
Multi-phase process. There is at least a panel interview of 4-6 people, perhaps another panel, one on one with hiring manager and sometimes a presentation. Goal is to understand who you are, not what you know. Can teach anyone willing to learn. Hard to teach character.

Question 1
Tell us about yourself. Goal is to understand the person and not what they know.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Nucor in Oct 2024
Interview
First interview was a standard one with a recruiter, next was interview with hiring manager and then an assessment. The final interview is a panel interview with multiple managers. Panel interview is rather difficult since they stick to the STAR method religiously. Interview was not conversational at all and at times felt like they were grilling me on my responses. Had to follow up a few times before they finally told me I didn’t get it. Great company with great benefits but if you don’t go into it expecting it to be a normal interview.
