About a month after applying online, I received a call asking if I was still interested in an interview. I agreed, and the interviewer informed me that it would be a group interview and told me to be something of importance to the interview. I arrived five minutes early. We were all taken into the backroom where we introduced ourselves and answered general retail interview questions. Make sure to speak up and smile. We went out onto the floor and they had us fold clothes for about 5 minutes to check our abilities. After we were done, they informed us we would hear back within two days if they were interested. I received a call a few hours after the day of the interview. The manager said she was impressed, and wanted to schedule me for what they called a "working interview". Basically, I had to come in at 5am and shadow other associates and learn/perform about the duties of the job. It lasted about 20-30 minutes. The supervisor said the purpose was to weed out candidates who could talk a good game, but could not work efficiently. After this, I was informed that I had received positive feedback and would be hired on. The supervisor sent an email to the store manager. They later callwd and we went over the dress code, negotiated salary, and specified expectations. I was then scheduled for orientation and training, and then put onto the floor.
