I had a first round interview with Oliver Wyman where I had the opportunity to conduct two case interviews with a experienced consultant and a partner. My first interview was just a typical case interview but my second interview with the partner was very surprising. In my interview with the partner, it was not your usual case interview structure (Opening, Framework, Analysis, Conclusion) but instead we jumped around different parts of the case. We first began with a very brief opening i.e. brainstorming different ideas of who my client was (law firm) followed by case math questions. It was a 30 minute case interview so it was extremely short and intensive.
