Weirdest interview I've ever experienced. There was an incumbent candidate, and I found out after the fact that another person had been selected before I was interviewed. Here's the funny part:
At the end of most interviews, we all hear: "What questions do you have for me?" The interviewer had asked questions that had no relation to the job presented by HR, so things were fuzzy. So I asked for more specifics. "Tell me more about the position so we can see what I can bring to the job." The answer?
"No."
When pressed, the interviewer stated, "I'm just not comfortable going into specifics about the job at this time."
First time I've undergone an interview for a Super Secret job. Bottom line: I was forced upon this interviewer, and she had already my her choise from other candidates. Being honest about that would have saved me a day of interviews and a $200 change fee for an airline ticket. Win some, lose some.
